More About Me
- Nicknames: asterisktom. Searching that name brings up my pages.
- Nationality: Oklaherman
- Religion: Classic Christianity, now mis-monickered as "Calvinism". I hesitate to call myself "Calvinist" only because: 1. It gives the impression I follow a man, 2. I don't believe in some of his teachings - mainly paedobaptism (baby baptism). I just don't see that in Scripture. I'm a Baptist (or is it "Babtist"?) But I am always glad to meet Christians of any stripe or configuration.
- Interests: New Covenant Theology which = doctrines of grace. Salvation is of the Lord. 100%. I adhere to the 5 sola's and TULIP, but not to some forms of "Reformed Theology", which at times emphasizes lapsed (or imagined) covenants at the expense of the New Covenant. History, birding and traveling, especially to Mexico, are also high on my list.
- Expertise: I teach History, English and Literature (and hopefully Christ) in a Christian School. Expertise? Hmmm. Not for me to say.... I listed my Flickr site under "Website". I assume you already know I have a Xanga.
